The Poster of 'A Gentleman' starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez has finally been released. Two of the digital posters have been released on the net while one motion poster also saw the light. The film was previously named 'Reload'. The film is cited to be the sequel of 'Bang Bang' starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. Sidharth Malhotra took to twitter to share the poster with his fans and public.
There is also a motion poster released by 'Karan Johar' and simultaneously a fan motion poster also showed up
Although the fans of actors did appreciate the posters, they have received mixed reactions overall. Sidharth's expression on the face in the solo poster do not go well with the concept and looks weird. The second poster although seems to be more striking and we don't know when Ms Fernandez is as usual being reduced to an eye candy and even that's not tempting enough. All in all this is too early to say about the film unless the main trailer comes out so we can find out more but the title of the film and posters have not lived up to the expectations as of now.

The vivacious and beautiful Rashi Mal is back on screen in the thrilling role of Abby which she plays in 'AISHA' - My virtual girlfriend. She plays a hacker in the season 2 of the much appreciated web series. Apart from this, she also has been making waves as a singer. While one of her song 'Sati Savitri' became a rage online, she has also sang a song for movie 'Dear Maya' starring Manisha Koirala. She is also regular on the advertising front be it print ads or Television. But most importantly, she is still very fresh in our hearts as the ferocious 'Gauri Laada'. We spoke to Rashi about her journey from Paanch to AISHA and her experiences. Everyone please welcome Rashi Mal in our first very post on the site and most Importantly, our very first Interview on the site.
Below are the excerpts.....
Q. After a long time we are seeing you in a flesh role of Abby in web series 'AISHA Season 2'.Please tell us something about the role and the show.
I am selective about the work that I take on. The part has to excite me. AISHA is really close to my heart..something I am so proud to be a part of. I play one of the leads, Abigail a.k.a Abby who is this vigilante hacker of sorts. She believes what she is doing is for the greater good and she also has suffered a lot in her past. It is a very fun and complex part. I love my straight hair and corn rows- a very different look from anything I have done before. I got to put my physical skills to use as well in the fight and kickboxing sequences so it has been really fun.
Q. It is good that India is catching up with digital phase and many web series and short films are on the rise. But do you think it is still at a nascent stage when it comes to acceptance?
Well of course anything new takes time to penetrate the market. Having said that all the big production houses are putting money into the digital space. It is definitely not in it's nascent stages in the rest of the world with netflix and amazon prime being major players. In India yes, but thats changing really fast. AISHA has won awards internationally too. So we are on the right track in terms of content and reach.
Q. You are quite regular on the commercials and ads front. Do you personally enjoy doing them. How different is the experience of acting in an ad?
The medium doesn't change anything. For me it's the content. I take up projects that excite me. Apart from ads , I just worked on a film that is an Indo-french production. I also played the female lead in BOYGIRI which is a webseries for Balaji's ALT channel. I had also done Gulmohar Grand on TV and I have done a lot of episodics too. I wrote and sang two music parodies for Culture Machine under the name of SACHHI SAVITRIS and I sang a song called 'Buri Buri' for Manisha Koirala's upcoming film Dear Maya. I have also been acting on stage with very renowned theatre directors. Each project is different from the other and I enjoy each of them equally. Q. How is Abby different from any of the characters you played so far especially Gauri? Every project and every character is so different. The contexts are not comparable but if I had to pick, I would say that Gauri was a more stereotypical character in the way she was portrayed. She was the typical filmy badass. Abby is more real. She is also a very strong character but in a very different way. I don't want to give away too much about Abby just yet though. You'll just have to wait and watch how this character unfolds :)
Q. Speaking of Gauri, It's been years since Paanch used to telecast. How much do you miss the character and how much changes you have experienced in all these years in terms of content and shooting?
I am very happy to have been a part of Paanch and though nostalgia does strike every now and then, I don't like living in the past. I really like the work that I am doing now. The web has really opened up a whole host of opportunities that didn't exist before and that is best change that has happened in the past 2 years. Q. Rashi, many fans have asked this question to us. Considering the fabulous story Paanch began with and continued almost till the end, don't you think the finale did not live up to expectations? We are talking about logic here. As a viewer, how possible was it for a teenage girl to build a chamber inside a college with all those gadgets and computerized traps to take revenge, also having the entire staff and students unaware about the whole incident. Don't you think too much liberties were taken and somehow ruined the essence of the show in general? Some of your co-stars have agreed on this part. Also, as we know now there is hardly any possibility of Season 2, so on the insistence of fans, we would like to know your views on this. Well context is everything. So first off, fiction by definition removes you from reality so there is greater room for creative liberties. Generally speaking, people watch fiction to forget about their personal lives and often enjoy the slightly exaggerated depictions on screen. Having said that, I agree...perhaps it did go a bit too far to be believable. But barring that, I think overall the show worked pretty well. Anyhow, there is definitely no season 2 guys.
Q. Rashi, In our last interview you were very optimistic about Indian Television getting new dimensions and experimenting with great shows like Yudh, Everest. But since then we have seen that none of these quality shows worked and we are pretty much back on the same lines. Do you think this is more of the reason why young actors are getting into digital platform to explore their talents?
Any change is uncomfortable and takes time. So you have to give people time to adapt to new ideas and formats. The change is happening, I can see it. Maybe slower than I would like it to be, but definitely happening. The digital space is amazing . It definitely gives young actors, like myself, a lot more opportunities and options in the kind and genre of work we would like to do. Q. You are also making waves as a singer, Your Sati Savitri Song became a rage and recently you even sang a song in movie 'Dear Maya'. How was the experience? Singing was my first introduction to the performing arts as a child. So to sing had been a long standing dream. I finally trained myself enough to put something out there and I am very happy about how it is being received.
Q. You are a multi talented facet and we have no doubts on that. We have seen you act, dance, singing till now. Is there any possibility to see a director or even a producer in you some day and If it happens what particular films would you like to make.
Well acting is still the main focus and dance and music are a huge part of my life so I cant give up any of these. I did do a summer program in film making though from New York and I did make a few short films one of which won an award internationally. Let's see what the future has in store but yes that is definitely a possibility :) We thank Rashi for her valuable time, do catch up and follow our site for more interviews. |
